Reading: We have been learning about comparing and contrasting characters in reading this week. We have taken a look at different fairy tales and have been comparing the characters in similar fairy tales. We will continue to work on this for the upcoming week. At the end of the week, we will be reviewing point of view and seeing how some fairy tales are told in different points of views and how that influences the story.
Math: We are working on learning all about fractions. We have learned about unit fractions, denominators, numerators, and equivalent fractions. We will continue to work on fractions this week with comparing fractions and understanding how if the whole is big or smaller then 1/2 of a origami paper might not be the same as 1/2 of a A4 sized paper.
Social Studies: We will be taking a break from Science while we are working on our Country reports. We will be learning all about the culture, government, economy, architecture, fashion and religions for the countries that they are assigned to learn about. We will be praying for the countries that we are studying as we are learning all about them and their needs. Please encourage your student to be doing some research at home and working on their independent project. They are due Monday, March 26th.
Bible: We are learning all about God providing for the Israelites even when they aren't always obedient to God. We are learning all about their struggles and their lack of trust in God.
This week is Week of Reading!
