Christmas Program!

Hello!

We have had a busy couple of weeks.  Progress reports went out this past Friday please take some time to go over your child's progress with them and encourage them in their hard work.  Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.

The Christmas program is this upcoming Wednesday.  School will be dismissed early (12:30pm) but  students are expected to be at the Yomitan Cultural Center that evening for the Christmas Program.  They have worked hard to be prepared for this evening.  Please come and see your child sing and share the good new of Jesus!

Last week we wrapped up our True Stories writing unit, and we will be sharing our stories with others this next week.  They should be proud of the work and effort that they put into these stories.  We will be moving into learning how to write informational pieces.  Students will need to identify a few topics that they are experts over and be able to write about that topic.

In math, we are working on deepening our understanding of multiplication and division.  Please practice multiplication facts with your child at home.   They are working on understanding multiplying by 4 and dividing by 4 this week.

We have started a new unit on Vikings.  We are learning about their life styles and the impact they have on modern civilization.  This week we will be learning about their alphabet and how they made community decisions.

We will be having a potluck Christmas Party on December 15th.  I will be sending out notes to ask each students to bring something to contribute to this potluck.  If anyone is willing to help plan and organize this party please let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you for all you do at home.  Have a great week!
